Metara / Xtrojet 420
Problem: Unusual behavior. Doesn't vacuum debris. Unusual sound. Stops at the pool wall. Slow or no movement. Only move in a small area.
Cause:
- The valve is blocked with debris
- The battery is running out (1 green LED flashing during operation).
- The impeller is jammed
- The suction mouth and/or filter is clogged
- The debris compartment is full
- Wheels are jammed
- Incorrect setting on the lock pin of the directional wheel
Solution: Use a small brush to clean the valve. Remove the debris blocking the impeller and wheels movement. Clean the water sensor. Empty the debris compartment and clean the filter. Turn off the filter pump. Charge the battery until all the lights are flashing green color. Clean the charging pins. Remove any magnetic object near the robot. Replace the charger if no light is shown when is connected to the outlet.
Clean the valve
Backwash the system with water and scrub with a small brush to remove the debris and unblock the valve.
Problem: The robot only move in one direction or stays at the pool wall.
Cause:
- The valve is blocked with debris
- bottom roller is jammed
Solution: Use a small brush to clean the valve. Remove the debris blocking the wheels movement. Rotate the roller manually.
Clean the valve
Backwash the system with water and scrub with a small brush to remove the debris and unblock the valve.
Problem: The robot cannot turn on. Shut-off randomly. Short usage time. Isn't charging.
Cause:
- The battery is discharged.
- A magnetic field is near the robot.
- Blocked impeller.
- Stained water sensor.
- Stained charging pins.
Solution: Remove the debris blocking the impeller movement. Clean the water sensor. Charge the battery until the light of the charger turns from red to green color. Clean the charging pins. Remove any magnetic object near the robot. Replace the charger if no light is shown when is connected to the outlet.
Clean the water sensor
Remove 4 plastic covers and screws that hold the motor to the top cover.
Remove the plastic cover and clean the water sensor with a cotton tip soaked with vinegar or lemon juice
